In an interview with Seraphnews during the 1st Anniversary of the Love of Christ (LOC) Generation Church, Igbaye, Osun State, recently, Pastor Samson Akinlade, who is Pastor-in-Charge tells how grateful they all are in the past year.
You may kindly introduce yourself?
My name is pastor Samson Akinlade, the Pastor-in-Charge LOC Igbaye, Osun State.
What is the celebration of today all about?
We are celebrating the first year anniversary of our church, that is the LOC Igbaye, established by our mother, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi. The church is one-year-old today. How time flies!
Since you became the Pastor-in-Charge here, what could you say about the relationship between the church and the host community?
Oh! I can boldly tell you that the people here in Igbaye are wonderful people. They have been very supportive of us workers and members of the church.
As a matter of fact, it is as if they had been expecting the church here for a long time before it finally came to them. That is the best way to describe it.
Since the establishment of the church, the people come around to worship with us; they have been enjoying the Grace of God that dwell here.
They are also happy to have a church in their community established by Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi.
Could you recall any exciting incident that had happened here since the establishment of the church?
We have countless miracles here in our church. That we may not be able to easily document because the happen almost on daily basis and people come to testify. I mean people from Igbaye, Osogbo, Okuku and other adjoining communities who worship with us have variously testified to the glory of God that shines here.
We always experience signs and wonders in all our programmes.
What are the challenges so far?
As we all know that where we have the children of God, the children of the devil will also be present. I cannot really pinpoint one immediately now, but I know that the king of this community faced some challenges when he came to the throne and because he identified with us even publicly, some people may not be too comfortable with that, but God manifested Himself in the life of the king through this church.
There was a court case against his ascendancy to the throne and God instructed us to hold a 7-day revival for that. A day before the end of the revival happened to be the day for the final judgement of the case in court. All glory be to God, the king won the case. Of course, our mother Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi was always in prayers with the king during this trying period and we thank God that he won the case.
What do you have to say about Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi?
Our mother is a woman of God. In fact, time will not permit me to explain how I met her, or how deeply spiritual she is.
She is a wonderful person to be with seriously.
She is a role model. In fact, one thing that people need to know more about her is that despite God’s blessings on her, she does not play with her service and commitment before God. If you want to work with her, you must be ready to worship God in truth and in deed.
Who are the categories of people of people you allow to worship in your church?
The door of our church is open to all. We are calling all to repentance because the world is going to an end. The end time is here. Already people around and from neighboring communities attend our church. They come with the assurance that their prayers would be answered that this has been the case.
What is the cost of getting a miracle here?
The scriptures established that salvation is free; even Jesus Christ did miracles or free. I said it earlier that our mother has never requested anything from anyone and we that are in charge must not do what Jesus kicked against.
