Ebenezer Model Parish just beginning to do exploits – Enitan Allen

Senior General Rev. Apostolic Mother Enitan Allen Jp is daughter of Founder of The Sacred C&S Church, Ebenezer Model Parish, Oke-Irapada, the late Supt. Gen. Apostle Femi Allen. She is also the 35th Anniversary chairperson of the church which holds in November 28, 2021.
She speaks with TINUOLA OSHUNTOKUN of Seraph News on plans by the committee to celebrate the event.
How do you feel as the chairperson of the 35th anniversary?
I feel great; I feel honoured but it is actually a call to serve in the vineyard. It is also a great privilege chairing a committee among many people of God. It’s indeed a great honour.
The church is celebrating her 35th anniversary. What could you point to as achievements of the church so far?
We thank God for how He has helped us here. I want to say we have been able to win more souls for Christ and I believe that that is the greatest achievement anyone can dream of.
Again, we have been able to change the narrative of white garment churches. We have remodernised our church in the comity of churches. We are a model parish as we call ourselves and we live by that.
There is negative perception about C&S churches generally, of course it is out of ignorance of those who harbor church impression. The C&S Church is tagged as being old-fashion; not being born again and so forth. But I tell you here we have been able to change that narrative.
At 35 we have touched many lives within and outside the church most especially the less-privileged.
Those that cannot afford school fees, we pay their fees for some. Some we subsidize their school fees. We have some of our foundation members still in the church. Some of them are now parents now and some are grandparents now. God has really been helping them through the church.
We also takes care of our widows. We assist people in paying their house rents. as a matter of fact we do all manners of palliatives for our needy members.
In fact, I can say that this church is an arena where God answers prayers. As people came in to our church with various challenges, their lives are transformed both spiritually and materially. God changes their levels here.
You and your committee members must have worked tirelessly to make the anniversary worthwhile. What are the plans?
Well, part of activities for the anniversary is that we are visiting the motherless babies homes to give out gift. We will also have a day revival, a praise night where we have invited different artistes such as Kay Wonder, Inumidun Aina Pearl, Adedayo Sekere, Segun Ajidara, Fere Jesu and choir of some other churches ministering.
The anniversary comes up on Sunday, 28th November, with that intercontinental evangelist of the Redeemed Christian of God , Pastor Johnson Tomisin Kalejaiye, delivering the sermon.
All the event will be held in our church by God’s grace.
35 years is another landmark for the church. The church is growing and members should also grow in all areas of their lives. What are your future plans for these members?
To the glory of God we have been doing things right here at Ebenezer Model Parish. I said earlier that we still have some of our foundation members with us. Some came here being singles, but today they are grandparents.
So, if the church had not affected them positively they will not be here anymore. I believe God is answering their prayers. The assistance I mentioned earlier is not something we do and stop there at all. It is a continuous thing although we have people who will want ‘use the church’. Even at that, we still help out where there is need.
Where do you see Ebenezer Model Parish in the next five years when you will be celebrating 40 years of her existence?
I see us winning more souls for Christ which is the ultimate. I can tell you that we are just at beginning of the beginning in achieving greatness here. I see us doing more exploits in the Christian community. I see us breaking new grounds. I see God elevating our members in all spheres of life.
