ESO Apata Ipile Otito unveils plans for 75th anniversary

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Apata Ipile Otito located at No. 6, Owode Street, Iwaya, is about to celebrate its 75th years of existence.
History has it that the church, Apata Ipile Otito is one of branches of The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Hotonu Mother Church.
Apata Ipile Otito was established in 1947 and headed by Elder Samson Mobolaji Ajose who, after seeking and got approval from then Spiritual Head of The Eternal Sacred Order, the late Baba Aladura Peter Omojola Tunolase, to commence Wednesday Service with a prayer fellowship.
Baba Ajose organised in the name ‘Eternal’, the Wednesday Service later metamorphosed to a full church service two years later.
At a press briefing, on Sunday, March 20, heralding the event, the Minister in Charge of the church, Snr. Supt. Apostle I.H. Goungo JP, gave glory, honour and adoration to God for His faithfulness over the church.
He expressed his joy for the grace God granted him to be the Minister in charge during the landmark event.
He declared that it was not by power nor by might but by the spirit that our church is still standing today.
With the theme of the 75th anniversary as ‘Covenant-keeping God’, Apostle Goungo said, “We are celebrating the covenant the Lord had kept over our lives and the church. “At the same time we are reminding God of the future covenant he promised us.”
In making the celebration worth its name, the church has set up a formidable committee and outlined series of activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary some of which included open air crusade, Musical Concert, Visitation to Orphanage Homes, Bands Day, Award Night and Dinning with the Minster in Charge.
The grand finale of the event is billed for Sunday, July 10, 2022.

Speaking on State of the Nation, Elder Goungo urged all members to be careful and vigilant as they go about their daily activities.
He implored everyone to continue to pray for our nation, “most importantly as we approach the general election.
“Let us pray that God should give us good leaders who will direct the affairs of this Country rightly”.
The clergy prayed that God will intervene in situation of the country and heal our land.
In his address, the chairman of the 75th anniversary planning committee, Special Apostle Olamilekan Bello counted it to be a privilege to be the chairman of the 75th anniversary.
According to him, “I thank God for the Grace. I was not a member of this church at the initial stage as I was born a Muslim but I have been accepted into the church with love, the kind of love Jesus exhibited to us.
“I implore you all to await patiently as we unfold the events of the 75th anniversary one after the other, God helping us,” he said.
