Payback time for Elder Segun Odufuwa as he turned 75

For Snr. Supt. Apostle Prophet Samuel Olusegun Odufuwa Jp, Minster in charge of the Cathedral, Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Christ ‘The Worshippers’, Sunday, March 20, 2022 would be one he could not forget in a jiffy.
It was a day that scores of family, friends, church members and colleagues joined him to appreciate the omnipresence of God in his life having turned 75 years.

That day would continue to linger for a long time in mind of Elder Odufuwa as he was treated to a mouth-watering birthday bash from his children to the admiration of all those that made it to the Oke Olu, Iponri headquarters of the church for the event.
As Chairman Evangelical Committee of the C&S Unification Church of Nigeria, Elder Odufuwa got what he did not bargain for that day (as it turned out) as his children held a no-holds-barred party for the father appreciating his care, love and support shown to them since birth.
Looking great in his robe perfectly tailored for the occasion, which, of course, made him looked younger than his 75 years of age.
Of course, the event was low-key thanksgiving service because of the Lenten season but it brought together important personalities in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and in various areas of human endeavours.
For sure, Elder Odufuwa was full of praises to God for what God had used him to achieve in life.
It was no doubt that the celebrant was full of joy as he danced in his immaculate robe, and surrounded by his children, grandchildren, family members and church members and other well-wishers.
It was a full service in honour of the Secretary to the Council of Elders to C&S Church of Christ the Worshippers.
A worship session led by Brother Pettersson and several hymnals rendered by church Choir added glamour to the event.
Prayers from different quarters were offered for the celebrant with a Holy Communion session which followed immediately.
In his sermon, Supt. Apostle (Prof.) Bola Akinsulie appreciated God on behalf of the celebrant.
According to him, “our Minister in Charge is set apart by God because He fears God. He trusts the God of his fathers. He loves to work for God, he is committed to the things of God. He serves God with all that he had.”
Elder Akinsulie urged the congregation to emulate these acts in other for them to stand tall in every area of their lives. There is no way someone will be doing all these and God will not love him, he said.

Also speaking at the event was the Special adviser to Governor of Lagos State on Religious Matters, Mr. Bukola Adeleke.
The governor’s representative congratulated Elder Odufuwa for reaching another milestone in life. He specially thanked him for his prayers for the Governor and the entire Lagos state. He prayed God will continue to strengthen him and give Grace to witness more in land of the living.
However, he urged Lagosians to continue to bear with the state government for multiple road projects going on simultaneously in the state saying, “We implore you to bear with us, all these is done for the betterment of the citizens of the state.
“We seek more of your prayers for the government of the state.”

Some of the prominent names that grace the occasion were the council of Elders of the C&S Church of Christ the Worshippers, the Chairman National Executive Council C& S Unification Church of Nigeria, Snr. Supt Apostle Omoniyi Owomoyela, Snr. Apostle Tayo Ajose, Assistant Secretary I of C&S Unification Church of Nigeria.
